Discover Our Story

Best Nation Organization (BNO) is a registered non-profit organization based in Tanzania Mainland, dedicated to empowering children, youth, women, and people with disabilities. We are driven by the belief that meaningful change starts with investing in people—especially those who have been historically marginalized in social, political, and economic spaces.

We envision a society where children and youth are at the centre of decision-making processes that shape their present and future. Through mentorship, education, leadership coaching, civic engagement, and advocacy, BNO cultivates a generation of conscious and capable citizens ready to lead and transform their communities.

Vision

To develop a society where children and youth actively participate in the decision-making that affects their everyday lives and their future generations.

Our Foundation

We, the founding members of BNO, were compelled by the challenges facing Tanzanian youth—particularly those under 35—who remain underrepresented in leadership and decision-making roles. Despite various initiatives from government and development partners, access to leadership, empowerment, and civic spaces for young people remains limited and inconsistent.

BNO was established to address this gap and serve as a platform for inclusive development, peace building, and rights-based advocacy. Our work is rooted in local realities, informed by youth aspirations, and aligned with national and global development frameworks.

Our Context and Commitment

Tanzania is currently facing a shrinking democratic space, youth marginalization, and growing socio-political divisions. Young people from diverse cultural, religious, and political backgrounds often find themselves excluded from platforms that drive policy and peace processes.

At BNO, we believe that this generation holds the key to a more just and united Tanzania. That’s why we focus on intergenerational dialogue, youth-led solutions, and inclusive empowerment programs. Through training, workshops, forums, and strategic partnerships with government, civil society, and development actors, we are building a future that works for everyone.
